Invite-Only AWS
Security Experience
Security Ops Simulation. World-class keynotes. Executive networking. Produced by 24 Seven Agencies.
View Proposal ↓Executive Summary
The AWS Security team is evaluating agency partners for turnkey event production. As part of this process, you asked us how we might have produced the recent Gen-AI Security Symposium that took place in New York. This proposal is our answer.
Event Objectives
- Deliver a differentiated boutique-style event for Data, IT, and Cybersecurity executives that positions AWS, alongside curated partners, as the thought leader in Generative AI Security and Governance
- Reproduce the event in other locations
- Produce a remarkable experience that leads to executives talking about AWS with their teams and elevates their affinity to AWS Security Solutions
The Format
Conventional keynote sessions and a closing networking reception form the foundation. Layered on top are three integrated experiential systems:
- Command Center: Private platform driving live polls and judgment-call prompts during speaker sessions
- Security Clearance: DEFCON-style NFC badges that evolve as the room participates
- Field Training: VR simulation customized with AWS security scenarios; results feed back into the room
Why It Works
Executives make decisions under pressure alongside peers, not as passive attendees. The result is stronger recall, peer-to-peer credibility, and a story worth sharing.
Budget
First event runs $79,000–$111,000 depending on lead management scope. Repeat events run $49,000–$81,000. Budget estimates for larger event formats are included. All exclude venue and F&B.
Partner
24 Seven Agencies (SketchDeck, Futureman, The Sage Group) serves as a single accountable partner across design, technology, production, and lead management.
Expected Outcome
Approximately 40% attendee-to-meeting conversion within 30 days, roughly 12 post-event sales meetings from a 30-person audience.
The Case for This Format
Most executive events optimize for awareness and brand exposure. This experience optimizes for something harder to achieve: decision-making under uncertainty, prioritization when tradeoffs are unavoidable, and coordination across incomplete information.
Senior security leaders rarely have safe environments to test their judgment alongside peers from other organizations. The format we propose creates exactly that, mirroring real-world security incidents where no one has full visibility, time pressure forces imperfect choices, and outcomes depend on collaboration.
"People forget up to 70% of new information within 48 hours when learning is passive."Ebbinghaus Forgetting Curve, reinforced by modern learning science
This experience replaces passive consumption with applied participation, grounded in three evidence-backed principles:
Active Recall Beats Passive Exposure
Making decisions, even imperfect ones, dramatically improves retention versus listening alone.
Emotional Stakes Anchor Memory
Time pressure, team dependency, and visible outcomes create recall anchors that slides do not.
Social Accountability Reinforces Learning
Group progression and shared success or failure increase focus and commitment.
Executives leave with muscle memory. And a good story to tell.
Audience & Format
| Target Roles | CIO, CISO, Chief Data Officer, Chief AI Officer, senior IT and security leaders |
| Format | Invite-only, closed-door, no press, no recording |
| Duration | One full day |
The tone is intentionally restrained. The experience is serious, focused, and credible. Participation is required, but no individual is singled out or put on stage.
Experience Architecture
Core symposium elements remain intact: keynote speakers, expert presentations, technical deep dives, partner perspectives, and executive networking. On top of this foundation, we introduce a 3-layer experience system that fundamentally changes how attendees engage with AI security concepts.
Command Center
A private, invite-only web platform. The operational backbone of the event.
View details →Security Clearance
DEFCON-style NFC badges. Clearance levels unlock as the room participates.
View details →Field Training
Immersive VR security games tied directly to keynote content.
View details →Each layer is triggered directly by agenda content and speaker sessions. No layer exists in isolation.
Command Center
Private Interactive Platform
The Command Center is a private, invite-only web platform that acts as the operational backbone of the event. All attendees are onboarded before the symposium. Access is restricted to registered participants and approved AWS stakeholders.
The platform functions as:
- A secure group chat for moderated discussion
- A live polling and voting system during sessions
- A mechanism for pushing prompts tied to speaker content
- A real-time visualization layer for aggregate responses shown in the room
Speakers use the platform to activate the audience during their sessions. Prompts are designed to force prioritization and judgment calls. Moderators surface patterns, disagreements, and edge cases from responses and feed them back into the discussion.
This creates a continuous feedback loop between content and audience, and demonstrates secure, AI-mediated communication in practice.
Security Clearance
Each attendee receives a DEFCON-style badge at check-in. The badge is locked by default. It represents the attendee's security clearance level throughout the symposium.
Progression is driven by engagement. When the room reaches predefined thresholds (a percentage of attendees voting in a poll or completing a discussion prompt) clearance levels unlock for everyone.
Badges notify individual attendees when new challenges or Field Training modules become available. This directs flow without relying on stage announcements or manual coordination.
The badge serves as a physical representation of security by design. It turns abstract security principles into a tangible artifact that evolves throughout the event.
Field Training
Interactive VR Security Game
Field Training is the most immersive component of the symposium. We have designed a custom VR security simulation inspired by cooperative defusal game formats, built from the ground up with AWS-specific scenarios, service names, and decision logic. No third-party IP is used. Teams of four to five rotate through during the day, or participate in a full group breakout.
The Challenge
One team member wears a VR headset and faces a virtual device composed of AI security modules that must be defused under time pressure. That participant cannot solve the challenge alone.
The Collaboration
Other team members hold physical instruction manuals customized with AWS services, security concepts, and decision logic. They cannot see what the VR participant sees. Success depends entirely on communication, prioritization, and trust under pressure.
The Outcome
When a team completes or fails a scenario, results feed back to the Command Center leaderboard, sparking discussion around which strategies worked, which failed, and why.
The Layers in Action
A speaker introduces the concept of "AI model poisoning" during a keynote.
The platform immediately pushes a live poll: "Which AWS service would you deploy first to detect this threat?" Attendees vote and discuss in the secure chat.
Collective participation reaches the threshold. Badge LEDs shift from red to yellow across the room, signaling a clearance level upgrade.
Individual badges vibrate: "You have unlocked VR Module 3: Model Integrity Breach."
Teams complete or fail the scenario. Results push to the Command Center leaderboard. Discussion resumes, grounded in live data from the room.
The result is keynote content that is immediately tested, applied, gamified, and socially reinforced, through three complementary channels working in concert.

Speaker Sessions
Speaker sessions serve as a critical draw for invited executives and strategic partners. Invitees will look for top-tier names and logos on the event invite, and 24 Seven manages speaker sourcing and briefing as part of the content strategy deliverable, identifying voices with credibility across AI security, cloud governance, and enterprise risk.
The day is structured around three to four keynote or featured sessions, each designed to directly trigger one or more of the three experience layers. Speakers are briefed on the Command Center polling format and their sessions include pre-designed activation prompts that push to the platform in real time. Speaker presentation templates are provided and all content is reviewed for alignment with AWS Security priorities prior to the event. The symposium accommodates up to three speaker sessions, each 30 to 45 minutes in length including integrated Q&A.

Outcomes & Repeatability
Built to Scale
This format is intentionally built as a reusable executive enablement system. Core experience components are designed once and redeployed with minimal modification, allowing future events to focus on logistics rather than reinvention.
The initial event carries the highest development investment. Subsequent deployments benefit from lower marginal cost, faster setup, and increased operational confidence.
Over time, this positions the AWS Security Symposium not as a one-off activation, but as a scalable tactic within AWS Security's engagement playbook.
Attendee Sourcing Assumptions
| Registration target | 90 event registrants |
| In-room target | 30 attendees |
| Executive contact list size | 1,000–1,200 targeted contacts |
| Expected registration rate | 8–10% from curated outreach |
| Invite amplification | AWS partners co-leveraged |
Assumes AWS participation onsite, pre-aligned target account prioritization, and timely post-event outreach ownership by AWS sales teams.
Based on benchmarks from comparable invite-only executive events with pre-aligned sales stakeholder involvement and post-event outreach ownership. Actual results depend on AWS sales team participation and follow-up cadence.
Budget & ROI
| Category | Line Item | Cost |
|---|
The badge line item covers PCB design, firmware development, programming, and the badges themselves. Each unit includes WiFi/Bluetooth, a full screen, buttons, LEDs, and a rechargeable battery pack. Final per-unit cost is being finalized; current estimates place it at no more than $150 per badge at low-volume fabrication.
Venue and F&B costs are directional estimates. Final figures will be validated through a formal venue RFP once city, date, and experience footprint are confirmed. Black Hat Las Vegas week carries a significant venue premium versus standard metro bookings.
Repeat deployments benefit from significantly reduced experience system costs. The Command Center, badge system, and VR content are built once and redeployed. Repeat event agency fees range from $49,000 to $81,000 excluding venue and F&B.
The following items are excluded from all pricing above and are not managed as part of this engagement unless separately scoped:
- Speaker travel and logistics management
- Agency team travel and expenses (T&E)
- Full slide deck development for speakers
- Shipping, transport, and drayage
- Photography and videography (archival)
- Event signage and wayfinding
Estimated Venue & Hospitality Costs

All venue and F&B costs are passed through at cost with no agency markup.
ROI Calculator
Post-event meeting conversion rate: 40% of attendees (based on comparable executive event benchmarks). Attendee count pulled from selected audience tier.
These projections are illustrative and based on benchmark conversion assumptions. Results depend on attendee quality, AWS sales team engagement, account pre-qualification, and post-event follow-up cadence. Adjust inputs to reflect your team's actual benchmarks.
Case Study
Transforming a Welcome Center into an Immersive Spaceship for LifeWave
Futureman · A 24 Seven CompanyFutureman, a 24 Seven Agency, partnered with LifeWave, a global health company, to design a flagship Experience Center for high-value customers. The objective was to replace one-way presentations with an immersive, self-directed environment that allowed visitors to control their depth of learning while reinforcing LifeWave's innovation narrative.
The experience unfolded as a structured, multi-room journey, combining shared moments such as a founder welcome delivered via a life-size, language-localized hologram and an immersive brand storytelling environment, with hands-on product exploration through interactive kiosks and a forward-looking roadmap space.
The program required close integration across physical design, digital platforms, content, and live operations, with an emphasis on reliability and clarity rather than spectacle alone.
Next Steps
Upon verbal agreement, we will issue a Statement of Work within 48 hours covering scope, deliverables, milestones, and data governance terms. Estimated turnaround from issue to countersignature: 5 to 7 business days.
24 Seven has previously completed AWS Tier 3 AppSec Review and holds all required documentation on file, enabling a fast re-verification path rather than a first-time submission. We can submit materials immediately upon request.
Within one week of SOW execution, we will meet with the core AWS and 24 Seven teams to align on event objectives, audience tier, experience system requirements, and Salesforce handoff format. A kickoff brief will be distributed in advance and decisions documented within 24 hours.
